The All India Congress Committee (AICC) Minority Department has appointed Shibli Manzoor as the in-charge of Delhi Minority Congress.

This appointment was made by the National president, Rajya Sabha MP Imran Pratapgarhi, in recognition of Manzoor’s public service, his commitment to education, and his efforts towards the empowerment of minorities.

Shibli Manzoor began his public life through student politics at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), where he raised his voice for students and marginalised communities.

He is an engineer and MBA who has combined his technical expertise with a passion for social change. He has initiated several social projects focused on education, employment fairs, and the uplift of minorities.

He has served as the Vice-President and Organisational in-charge of Bihar Minority Congress, and later became the in-charge of Eastern Uttar Pradesh Minority Congress.

Currently, he is serving as the National Secretary of AICC Minority Department, playing a key role in strengthening the party’s influence within the minority community.

Shibli Manzoor expressed his deep gratitude to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi, and National Minority Department Head Imran Pratapgarhi.

He reiterated his commitment to strengthening the Congress party, safeguarding its values, and working dedicatedly for the welfare of the nation and its people.

“It is an honour for me to serve as the in-charge of Delhi Minority Congress. I am grateful to our esteemed leadership for trusting me. I will dedicate my efforts to empowering the community, promoting inclusivity, and contributing to the nation’s progress in line with the vision of the Congress party,” said Shibli Manzoor.

He said his goal is to strengthen the party at the grassroots level, promote education and economic empowerment, and enhance communication between leadership and the public.

He said he will work to advance the Congress party’s commitment to justice, equality, and inclusive development.

He said under his leadership, Delhi Minority Congress will address the key concerns of minority communities and work towards building a unified, progressive India.

Shibli Manzoor has been involved in holding workshops for encouraging people to participate in democracy.

In a recently held online workshop, he emphasised the importance of maximum public participation in safeguarding democracy, especially in the current period.

He said this programme was conceived with the approval of the National Chairman of the department, Rajya Sabha MP Imran Pratapgarhi.

“D Naqvi, a retired judge; Prashant Tandon, a senior journalist; Amir Idrisi, chairman of AMP; and Jaigam Murtuza, a journalist and writer, were invited as speakers. They shared their experiences and provided insights into the technical and practical aspects of increasing voter turnout. The speakers commended the campaign initiated by the All India Congress Committee Minority Department, emphasising the importance of voter awareness in the current state of the country and urging maximum participation in the electoral process,” he said.
