Shaheen Bagh protester Shahzad joins BJP, says party not ‘enemy’ of Muslims
Shaheen Bagh social activist Shahzad Ali joins BJP in presence of State BJP President Adesh Gupta and leader Shyam Jaju, reported news agency ANI.

“I have joined BJP to prove wrong those in our community who think BJP is our enemy. We’ll sit together with them over CAA concerns,” he said.

According to india.com, Ali was among those who sat in protest against the CAA-NRC-NPR combine in Shaheen Bagh.
The anti-CAA protests had grabbed headlines with women blocking the Shaheen Bagh road since December 15, with protest site being cleared on the morning of March 24 following threat from the pandemic.
