Saba Khatoon and Nahid Fatema were awarded PhD.

Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) has declared Saba Khatoon daughter of Zurar Ahmed Khan qualified for the award of Doctor of Philosophy in English. She has worked on the topic “Integration of ICT in English Teaching Practice: An Assessment of Osmania University B.Ed. Programme” under the supervision of Prof. Nagendra Kottacheruvu, Professor, Department of English, MANUU.

The viva-voce was held on 01st March, 2024. Ms. Saba Khatoon is working as Assistant Professor at Dept. of Education & Training, MANUU.

Nahid Fatema awarded PhD
Besides, Nahid Fatema daughter of Tufail Ahmed qualified for the award of Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry. She has worked on the topic “Computational Design, Synthesis and Biological Evaluation of Antidepressant Molecules” under the supervision of Dr Qasim Ullah, Assistant Professor, Chemistry, School of Sciences, MANUU and Dr M Vijulatha, I/c Vice-Chancellor, Telangana Mahila Viswavidhyalaya, Hyderabad was the Co-supervisor. The viva-voce was held on 14th August, 2024.

New courses for women
According to the National Education Policy 2020, educational institutions now no longer have to wait for students but they have to reach out to them for delivering educational services. As per NEP guidelines, Maulana Azad National Urdu University will expand its campus and start new courses for women at Urdu Hall, Himayat Nagar as well. These views were expressed today by Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice Chancellor, MANUU during the inaugural session of the Seminar “Urdu University se Taleem meri Kamiyabi ka Raaz” organized by Dean Alumni Affairs and MANUU Alumni Associations.

In his presidential address, Prof. Ainul Hassan said the Evening College was successfully launched at Manu Model School, Hyderabad in the current academic session. He assured the Alumni that Urdu University would provide all possible support to them if they work for the cause of the University. He advised the Alumni to take all possible steps to connect the Urdu-speaking community across the state with the University. He said that through discussion we will be aware of each other’s views, can be able to know common interests and come to the point to work in this regard. Through the success of MANUU Alumni, the current students and University on whole will be benefitted, he added. The Vice-Chancellor also distributed Certificates to the participants.

Prof Syed Najamul Hasan, Coordinator, Dean Alumni Affairs in his opening remarks briefed about the seminar. Dr Mohd. Mustafa Ali, Associate Professor MCJ & coordinator seminar delivered a welcome address and convened the programme. Aijaz Ali Quraishi, President, MANUU Alumni Association presented the vote of thanks.

Prominent Alumni of the university presented their papers on the occasion.
