Watch: Will Owaisi ‘Tsunami’ destroy AAP, opposition in Shaheen Bagh?
A rally addressed by Asaduddin Owaisi in Shaheen Bagh on Sunday night saw a huge turnout.
Looking at it many asked: Is there sign of changes in the area? Though underdog compared to popularity of Wajid Khan, Ariba Khan, there are chances, according to observers, that Arif Saifi and Laddan might upset applecart of the bigwigs.
The last time when such a crowd was seen was during a visit of Arvind Kejriwal in Okhla and the results were for everybody to see as opposition parties were uprooted and AAP candidate had had won.
Aqeel Ahmed, who had gone to cover the rally, said though the crowd was impressive it is yet to say whether it will turn into vote. If that happens then the change is coming, he said.
A political observer said Owaisi is a popular leader and youths do come to see him. I doubt whether this will translate into vote for the AIMIM candidate, he said, adding that let’s wait and watch.
