Jamia Hamdard is organsing a mega job fair on November 30 at its Convention Centre from 9 am onwards.
Terming it as golden chance for job seekers and students in the final years of their courses, university official said this mega job fair promises thousands with rare of the rarest opportunities: A job and ending their job hunt.
“Till now over 74 companies have confirmed to participate in the fair. This means that there will be around 8,000 vacancies for grab. The good thing is that the job fair will bring together employers from sectors such as retail, hospitality, banking, management, and finance. In such circumstances, it is no doubt a good chance for job seekers to meet potential employers face-to-face and explore a wide range of employment opportunities,” said the university in a statement to the media.
11th mega job fair
This is going to be the 11th mega job fair on the campus and this fair is free of cost and open to all.
Chancellor Hammad, CEO Sajid Sahab, and Vice-Chancellor Professor (Dr) M Afshar Alam will also participate in the fair. By doing so they will be underscoring the institution’s commitment to empowering the community through education and employment, said the statement.
In a press meet held on the campus a day ago, the organisers emphasised the fair’s potential to connect talent with opportunity.

Professor Farhat Basir Khan of the Centre for Media and Mass Communication Studies (CMMS) at Jamia Hamdard and a social change activist said: “This job fair is a beacon of hope, providing a platform that bridges the gap between talent and opportunity. I request all that they should share this message to amplify it so that large number of job seekers turns up and avail from this opportunity.”

Shaukat Mufti, Executive Secretary of HLW, said: “This event is more than just a job fair. It’s a continuation of the legacy of Hakeem Abdul Hamid, the founder of HLWS, who was dedicated to social uplift and community service. Established in 1972, HLWS has a rich history of community initiatives, from skill development programmes to humanitarian aid.”

The organising committee members include Shaukat Mufti, Executive Secretary of HLWS, Professor Farhat Basir Khan of the Centre for Media and Mass Communication Studies (CMMS) at Jamia Hamdard and Professor (Dr) Manju Chhugani of the School of Nursing Sciences and Allied Health are working with their teams to make sure that the event is a huge hit.
Previous mega job fairs huge success
Previous job fairs organised by HLWS have been resounding successes, connecting thousands of candidates with employers in cities like Aurangabad, Srinagar, and Mumbai, said the HLWS post bearer.
“I want to inform you that the fair held in the past had provided employment opportunities. Also, many job aspirants were successful in securing positions across various industries. We are asking job seekers to grab this opportunity to fulfil their dreams.
