Rejected by the AAP, Quasar Imam Siddiqi urf Laddan joined Asaduddin Owaisi party on Saturday. Immediately after his photo surfaced at AIMIM Okhla office words started spreading in the locality that he might get ticket and within minutes the guess turned out to be true as senior AIMIM leader Imtiyaz Jaleel mentioned Laddan name in a tweet.

Laddan got ticket for his wife from Zakir Nagar ward, a women reserved seat. The ward has been ruled for three terms by Congress leader Shoaib Danish. With the seat being reserved, Danish wife is in the race to seek ticket from the Congress for MCD poll 2022. The AAP has given ticket to Ariz Khan’s wife Salma Khan from this seat, triggering resentment in Okhla AAP.
A close aide of Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan, Laddan is from Gopalganj in Bihar and he told YouTubers at his house after getting the ticket for his wife that he was told by the AAP leaders that he would get ticket.
Laddan was arrested after raids were conducted in Delhi Waqf Board case and is out on bail. This is not for the first time that Laddan will be trying his luck in the election, earlier he has unsuccessfully contested civic elections. Later on years ago he joined the AAP hoping to revive his political career.
As he like others, including Mahmood Ahmed, Khateeb Thimami, Shakeel Siafi and others, failed to get ticket for their wives, Laddan within hours changed the party to secure ticket for his wife.
