Johri Farm resident Aseem Asha Usman said the street in front of a local mosque was also waterlogged. Whenever it rains in the area, the situation turns bad and it takes at least three hours for water to recede with residents facing hardship with vehicles even getting stuck at times.

Usman, like many other residents, was unable to move out of their house due to waterlogging in their street. Less than 24 hours ago, a Zakir Nagar resident also highlighted the pathetic situation in his lane after rain on Wednesday night. Shaheen Bagh residents too have been complaining about waterlogging in their area after rain saying the drainage system needs improvement.

A resident said come monsoon the situation in the area turns from bad to worse. He said there are many streets where waterlogging from sewer water is a normal thing with residents least bothered as they say there is nobody to act on their complaint.
