15-year-old Azhaan goes missing from Jamia Nagar, family seeks public help

A 15-year-old boy, identified as Azhaan Naseem, has been reported missing from the Zakir Nagar of Jamia Nagar since January 18. The development has led to concern among his family members and residents of the locality. Azhaan, a student, has been untraceable since 3 PM, and despite efforts by his family, no information about his whereabouts has surfaced so far, said his uncle.

According to family members who are from Uttar Pradesh, Azhaan was living at House No. 632, Street No. 9, Zakir Nagar, for his studies. He is the son of Naseem Akhtar and the nephew of Qazi Faheem Akhtar Jabjauwa, said the family. His disappearance has caused deep anxiety within the family, which has now appealed to the public and residents for help, said another resident.

Azhaan is approximately 5 feet tall, has a fair complexion, and was last seen wearing a full pant and a T-shirt, said his uncle. The family said he left the house in the afternoon but did not return, and all attempts to contact him since then have failed. Relatives and neighbours initially searched nearby areas and contacted friends and acquaintances, but the search yielded no results, he said.

The family has urged residents of Jamia Nagar, Zakir Nagar, and surrounding areas to remain alert and assist in locating the missing boy. They have requested people to share the information widely on social media and messaging platforms so that it reaches as many people as possible.

“Anyone who may have seen Azhan or has any information related to his location is requested to immediately contact the family on the following numbers: 09792816388, 9622226112, 7905452930, or 9999011632,” said his uncle.

Local residents have expressed concern over the incident, pointing out that cases of missing children cause serious distress and require urgent attention.

Authorities and citizens alike are being urged to cooperate to ensure Azhan’s safe return. This is not the first time that a missing boy incident has been reported from Jamia Nagar. From time to time, residents say they come across such cases on social media, where information about missing persons is shared on WhatsApp groups with appeals to amplify the message. Another resident pointed out that the reasons behind a person going missing can only be ascertained after he or she is reunited with family members.
