Okhla election results 2025 live updates: BJP’s Manish Chaudhary is ahead in Amanatullah Khan in Okhla, shows very early trends.

Since the opening of the counting at 8 pm, the trends reveal that Amanatullah is trailing in Muslim-majority constituency.

    LATEST UPDATE: Amanatullah wins

Hat-trick for Amanatullah Khan. Incumbent Okhla MLA retains his seat as BJP defeated AAP in Delhi. Amanatullah got 88,943 votes. BJP’s Manish Chaudhry was second and he got 65,604 votes. AIMIM’s Shifaur Rehman was at third position and Congress Ariba Khan at fourth. Shfiaur Rehman got 39,558 votes, Congress Ariba Khan 12,739

Though it is early, if Manish goes on to win the polls, it will be the first time since 1993 that a non-Muslim will become the MLA of this area. The constituency has about 60 per cent Muslim population.

Amanatullah had won two elections before this and is seeking a third term. Okhla’s other candidates are AIMIM’s Shifaur Rehman, Congress Ariba Khan and others.

    Manish is leading by 2260.

Manish Chaudhary‘s wife is three-time Councillor of Sarita Vihar.

    10.44 AM UPDATE
Amanatullah is now leading with BJP’s Manish holding the second position and AIMIM’s Shifaur Rehman on third spot. AIMIM’s supporters are hopeful that the trends will change as the counting of Muslim-dominated areas of Zakir Bagh, Shaheen Bagh, Johri Farm, Okhla Vihar begins. Celebrations break out among AAP supporters who have gathered outside the counting booth in Mahrani Bagh. On the other hand, BJP supporters are hopeful to make a comeback. One supporter said counting of Muslim areas has opened and hence Amanatullah is leading but this will change as counting of other areas begins.

    11.11 AM UPDATE
Amanatullah maintains his lead but Shifaur Rehman takes second position and is trying hard to come close to him. BJP’s Manish relegated to third position. AAP supporters fire first salvo at Asaduddin Owaisi as Amanatullah leads.

    11.30 UPDATE
Altercation between Amanatullah’s supporters and journalists occurred over the early trends. As discussions began about Amanatullah’s lagging behind with BJP’s Manish Chaudhary leading in the initial trends, his supporters reacted strongly.

Disagreement broke over trend reporting with Amanatullah’s supporters felt that the media was not covering their side fairly or was presenting it from a particular angle. In an election environment, supporters tend to be highly emotional, which can lead to debates or confrontations with the media. At times, supporters believe that some journalists are reporting in favor of a particular party. However, Amanatullah came from back to lead with Shifaur Rehman holding the second position and Ariba Khan at fourth position.

    11.58 UPDATE
Amanatullah Khan continues to stay in lead with Shifaur Rehman holding second position but trailing behind with more than 10,000 votes.

    12.27 UPDATE
In 7 round of counting, Amanatullah Khan continues to lead with 13530 votes with Shifaur Rehman of AIMIM staying at second position. Ariba relegated to fourth position.

    13.00 UPDATE
If Amanatullah wins, he will do so at a time when AAP’s top leaders, including former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and ex-Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, have conceded defeat in their constituencies. Additionally, Amanatullah will be securing a hat-trick, having remained undefeated since 2015.

As per ECI trends at 12:40 pm, Amanatullah Khan has taken the lead with 36,022 votes, while AIMIM’s Shifaur Rehman Khan trails by 15,178 votes.

BJP candidate Manish Chaudhary, who initially led the race in early morning trends, is now in third place, trailing by 26,121 votes. Ariba is at fourth spot.

The four key candidates contesting from Okhla are Amanatullah Khan (AAP), Manish Chaudhary (BJP), Ariba Khan (Congress), and Shifa Ur Rehman Khan (AIMIM).

AAP is set to lose Delhi as the BJP moves toward a decisive victory.
