5 research scholars of Jamia’s Department of Chemistry selected as Assistant Professor

It is a matter of pride for the Department of Chemistry, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) that five recently passed out PhD students of the department have been selected as Assistant Professors in different universities.

Three students have been selected as Assistant Professor on a regular basis at Ramjas College, University of Delhi: Dr. Sharf Ilahi Siddiqui, who completed his Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Saif Ali Chaudhry, Dr. Manish Rana, who completed his Ph.D. under the supervision of Dr. Rahisuddin and Dr. Suchi Verma, who completed her Ph.D. under the supervision of the late Prof. Kishwar Saleem.

Dr. Atul Sharma, who completed his Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Saif Ali Chaudhry, has joined Gurugram University, Gurugram, Haryana, as Assistant Professor.

Dr. Abdur Rahman Mohammad, who completed his Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Nahid Nishat, Head, Department of Chemistry, has joined Lecturer II in the Department of Petroleum Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Computing, HUDA University, GUSAU, Nigeria.

Dr. Suhail Ahmed, who completed his Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Saiqa Ikram, has joined UFLEX Ltd., Chemical Division, Sector-57, Noida as an R&D Officer.

Prof. Najma Akhtar, Vice Chancellor, JMI congratulated the selected candidates and their supervisors. She wished good luck to all the successful students for their future endeavours.

Prof. Nahid Nishat, Head, Department of Chemistry, JMI also congratulated all the new recruiters and thanked the Vice Chancellor for all the support.
