Okhla-based Babban’s stray cows caring story makes to mainstream media
Zubaid-ur-Rehman, also known as Babban Khan, is a resident of Okhla and the OT has profiled him several times particularly his story of caring stray cows in his hometown in Uttar Pradesh.

But now his story has found a space in mainstream media with India’s leading news agency PTI publishing a report about his work.
A resident of Okhla, Babban Khan makes sure to spend a few days in his hometown in Chandyana village in Bulandshahr every week where he tends to 65 stray cows at Madhusudan Gaushaala established by him in his 40-acre house.
“This is something that gives me immense satisfaction. It comes from inside. My mother started the trend some 50 years back and after her passing away, we have only expanded it,” Babban Khan told PTI in a chat.
“My mother would ensure that sick cows receive treatment and would always ask us, if we would continue to do it. We don’t know how she developed an interest in it but now this has become our family’s identity.”
By profession Babban Khan is a realtor and also runs a cooker factory and has won several awards for his philanthropic activities.
