One injured in Zakir Nagar stabbing incident
One person got hurt in a stabbing incident which took place in Zakir Nagar a few minutes ago on Monday, said a resident on the condition of anonymity.
One youth was caught by the residents and handed over to the police, said the resident.
An eyewitness to the incident, he said initially it was not known what led to the fight but some three or four youngsters mostly teenagers were seen arguing with the person, who was a driver and had parked his car on the road and was sitting there waiting for his boss.
The driver was wearing a gold necklace and suddenly these youths picked up a fight with him and objected to him for honking, he said, adding that as the argument was going on one youth took out a knife and attacked him with the driver sustaining injuries on his arm.
Blood started coming and he was given first hand, he said. Though some of the youths ran away after the fight, one was grabbed by local residents and the police was called, he said.
Surprisingly when the residents after catching the accused told him that they will hand him over to the police, he laughed and said he was a teenager and police won’t be able to arrest him and just apprehend him, he said.
The eyewitness said the development reflects poorly on the locality and one should be very careful while arguing with youths as they could be attacked.
The reason behind the fight is yet to be ascertained.
