    ‘Suspected stabbing’ incident in Zakir Nagar leaves residents in shock

    ‘Suspected stabbing’ incident in Zakir Nagar leaves residents in shock

    Presence of large number of local residents and police at Holy Family Hospital on Friday night raised eyebrows in the locality with journalists of mainstream media calling to know the reason.

    It is understood that the crowd was the result of a suspected stabbing incident in Zakir Nagar gali number 6 on Friday with the victims being rushed to the local hospital for treatment. All the victims are from one family of Zakir Nagar, according to sources.

    With official version of the incident not available, details are yet sketchy.

    Former Councillor Shoaib Danish said he is on his way to the hospital after he came to know about the stabbing incident in Zakir Nagar lane number 6 at 8.30 pm in which four people got injured and hospitalised.

    Son of Shayan Ahmad Arif (Cement wale) died in the incident.

    Another resident Waseem said one youth is critical. A YouTuber who rushed to the spot said large number of local residents was seen outside the hospital.

    UPDATE AT 1.08 AM
    AAP leader Mahmood Ahmed, who turned up at the hospital, said one youth succumbed to his injuries from stabbing. “This is very shocking incident. Why this happened,” asked Mahmood.

    Arif Cement wale’s son has died, said another resident.

    People are in deep shock after the incident.

    Three injured have been shifted to another hospital as they are serious, said YouTuber Rizwan Khan.

    Former Congress MLA Asif Md Khan said all the youths are from one family and all teenagers. “The youths were attacked and one died on site and declared brought dead,” said Khan.

    Former Councillor Danish said he too has been told that one has died in the incident.
