World Environment Day: Women participate in increasing Okhla’s green coverage
On the World Environment Day several tree plantation activities were taken place across Okhla with women taking centre stage in Jamia Nagar.

Okhla Councillors Shoaib Danish, Wajid Khan and a few activists planted trees in the locality. Dr. Darakasha Firdous director of Al Khair Foundation also planted trees with her team in Abul Fazal Enclave with the sole aim to increase Okhla’s green coverage and keep lungs clean.
She was joined in by her team Kahkkashan Firdous, Naziya, Shabnam Khatoon, Dr Intakhab Rehman, Md Ozair Ahmad and Munawar Siddiqui.
“Al Khair Foundation celebrated World Environment and many people did plantation on this occasion and motivated to inspire others for growing more and more trees for the environment. Our foundation is very much concerned about these works and to keep environment healthy by reaching more and more people,” she said.
