As quake hits Nepal, tremors felt in Delhi-NCR, did you feel in Okhla?
As an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 hit Nepal on Tuesday afternoon with strong tremors being felt across Delhi and surrounding areas, some residents in Okhla also felt it.

One Jamia Nagar resident told the OT over phone that he felt it as the sofa he was sitting on was shaking. He said his children also felt the strong tremors which according to media reports lasted for about 10 seconds. There have been no reports of damage caused by the earthquake so far. He said as they reside in third floor they were able to feel it however, many didn’t feel it.
National Center for Seismology (NCS) said: “An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 on the Richter Scale hit Nepal at 2:28 pm today.”

The quake’s epicentre was in Nepal at a place 148 km east of Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand, it added.
Videos of ceiling fans shaking surfaced on the social media. One Ghaffar Manzil resident posted a message about earthquake on social media soliciting several responses with some saying they felt the tremors and many expressed their surprise on the tremor news.
There have been no reports of damage caused by the earthquake so far.
