UPDATE: The Tikona Park tilted electric pole has been fixed, inform residents. It was a week ago when Delhi was hit by thunderstorm and rain. Okhla and Jamia too felt the heat as several trees were uprooted. Some electric poles were also tilted by the thunderstorm. Now, with days gone, residents wonder when they will be fixed.

Okhla-based artist and painter Mohd Saquib said after seeing the pole hanging for days he tried his art on one OT photo. “One week ago, I noticed that near Tikona Park one electric pillar has been hanging after the thunderstorm…I just noticed again that still the pillar is hanging at the same place so I converted my reaction through the photo edit, hope the OT readers will like it,” he wrote.

The electric pole has been fixed now, he said.

Another resident said a few days ago that it is very dangerous and the tilted pole needs to be fixed urgently to avoid any untoward incidents. He said he is surprised that even after seven days the uprooted trees and a few tilted poles are yet to be fixed.

At Tikona Park a few uprooted trees are found lying on the road unattended. On Jamia road too several uprooted trees are yet to be removed, said daily commuters.
