He said when the owner went to offer namaz in a nearby mosque by keeping the shop’s shutter just 1/4th open a man sneaked into the shop with intention to steal items. However, he was not so lucky as a person from a top building saw him and realizing that something was fishy, he rushed to shop and caught him red handed, said the resident, who also made a video of the robber after being caught.

By the time the owner also returned and then residents called in police and handed him over to them, said the resident, adding that nothing was stolen. He said this is not first incident in the locality.

On Tuesday early morning a theft had taken place in a person’s house in lane number 11. The man was sleeping but with the bang on the door he got up and raised his voice by the time he could get up and chase him, the thief made his way, said the resident, adding that he was lucky as the thief could only steal two mobiles from his house.

A few days ago the OT had reported how a resident in Abul Fazal Enclave had lost his hard earned savings to the thief. He too had lamented that the thief took away his four mobile phones and Rs 19,000 money from his flat when the family was sleeping.
