3, including 2 juveniles, held for stabbing youth to death in Zakir Nagar: Police
With the arrest of one 22-year-old person and two juveniles being apprehended for allegedly stabbing 19-year-old Md Sheyan to death and injuring four others (cousins) on Friday night over a quarrel involving a girl, the police said the sensational murder case of Police Station Jamia Nagar in Zakir Nagar has been solved.
Acting on a tip-off, police conducted raids at Hapur and Siyana in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday and nabbed the two juveniles — both aged 16 — and Tabish. The knife used in the commission of the crime was also seized from the possession of the arrested, Deputy Commissioner of Police (southeast) Rajesh Deo said on Monday.
Police said a case was registered at Police Station Jamia Nagar on the statement of one wherein he stated that one of his friends had girlfriend and earlier she was with another one and due to which the boy had threatened the boy (who was attacked) to face dire consequences.
Thereafter on the account of compromise and for settling the matter, they (victims and attackers) turned up at gali no 6, Zakir Nagar. After a few minutes, a scuffle took place and the accused started stabbing other and his friends due to which all of them sustained severe injuries, police said.
“The injured persons were shifted to Holy Family Hospital where injured Sheyan was declared brought dead vide MLC No 3935. Thereafter, the above mentioned case was registered and investigation taken up.”
Keeping in view the gravity of the case, several teams were formed under the direction of worthy DCP/SED to arrest the accused persons.
On April 30, the ASI received information regarding hideouts of accused persons and thereafter, on analysing the technical and local intelligence, the team of AATS conducted raids at Hapur and Siyana UP and apprehended the two juveniles. Arrested accused person is resident of Batla House.
