    As many as 1,14,657 doses of Covid-19 vaccine was administered on May 7. Moreover, The SOS calls have been reduced, only 10 calls received on May 7, said the Delhi Government.

    Furthermore, a dedicated team of officers is working 24X7 to monitor the status of demand and supply of the oxygen in the national Capital, it said.

    Also, more than 1,100 cylinders were distributed on May 7 for the patients in home isolation who need this supply of oxygen, it said.

    “To aid on a wider-encompassing scale, 174 hunger relief centers are formed by the Delhi Government across the national capital. This initiative of the Government will make sure that the poor and needy are being given food on a daily basis. In the last one week close to 9 lakh meals have been distributed for the needy in the city.”

    Ashish Kundra, Principal Secretary Transport and OSD Health, Government of NCT of Delhi, addressed a Zoom Meeting in which he pointed out a number of significant figures and took stock of the prevailing situation.

    He asserted that an average of 29 per cent oxygen is supplied by the Railways, an average of 71 per cent oxygen is supplied through roadways. An average of 507.5 MT of oxygen is supplied to Delhi on a daily basis.

    “A total number of 10 SOS calls were received on May 7. As many as 114657 Covid-19 vaccinations were administered in Delhi on May 7. This is the highest number compared to previous days.

    “Underlining the various facets of donation of oxygen, it was highlighted that citizens can log on to delhi.gov.in to access cylinders donation sheet and can also book cylinder refilling at oxygen.jantasamvad.org.

    “Moreover, Niti Aayog is the central focal point to supervise the total number of donations of oxygen cylinders.

    “Gradually, Delhi is ramping up the capacities in terms of transportation of liquid oxygen in the National capital. The supply chain of oxygen has become more efficient through the railway movement. All the DMs are tracking each and every re-filler and making sure that it reaches the destination which is earmarked. A team of officers is working 24×7 to monitor the status of demand and supply of the oxygen in the national Capital. Real time monitoring of oxygen tankers is being done by the team formed by the Government to mitigate the challenges and obstacles in the supply chain management of the oxygen in the National capital.

    “Delhi Government has also deputed a team of officers to each of the oxygen plant locations, this team makes sure that there are no glitches and any administrative obstacles in the oxygen supply to Delhi.

    “While stating the numbers, it was highlighted that Central Government hospitals consumed about 9.39 per cent of the total allocated oxygen, Delhi Government hospitals consumed 20.20 per cent and private hospitals consumed 50.20 per cent. Remaining 15.67 per cent is reserved for the emergency SOS calls.

    “3.03 per cent quota was given to Districts as a lumpsum for providing the facilities to the citizens.

    “A fair distribution and allocation strategy is being prepared for the optimal utilization of the given oxygen. GPS tracking system is helping to monitor the real time locations of the tankers, for the seamless supply of oxygen in Delhi. A network team is formed which is giving real time information from different parts of the country on the oxygen management system. District Magistrates are tracking through their teams that the oxygen is reaching the earmarked hospitals and institutions on a timely basis.

    “More than 1100 cylinders were distributed on 07.05.2021 for the home isolation patients needing the oxygen supply. 174 hunger relief centers are formed by the Delhi Government across the city. This initiative of the Government will make sure that the poor and needy are being given food on a daily basis. In the last one week close to 9 lakh meals have been distributed for the needy in the city.”
