Maulana Kaleem Siddiqui’s premises in Shaheen Bagh raided on Tuesday

The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (UPATS) raided the residence and offices of Maulana Kaleem Siddiqui in F- Block of Shaheen Bagh on Tuesday, according to media reports.

The UP ATS conducted the search on the basis of an order from a court, reported Aaj Tak, reported Times Now.

Islamic scholar Maulana Kaleem Siddiqui arrested in UP for running “biggest conversion syndicate”, reported TOI.

UNI reported quoting a senior Delhi police official: “UP ATS has raided some premises of Maulana Kaleem Siddiqui in Shaheen Bagh area. Delhi police have no details about it as we were only informed about the raids by the ATS.”

Words about the searches on the premises reached locals after some netizens posted about it on the social media.

Some media houses reported that 64-year-old Maulana’s offices at Global Peace Centre, World Peace Centre, all in Shaheen Bagh area of New Delhi, were searched.

A few days ago some local leaders had hold a march in Shaheen Bagh calling for release for the Maulana.

Former Chair of the Delhi Minority Commission, Dr Zafarul Islam Khan, condemned these raids on Tuesday at a presser in Delhi on a separate matter, reported Millennium Post.
