Okhla resident’s savings stolen from his Jamia Nagar flat
Okhla resident’s savings and three mobile phones were stolen from his Jamia Nagar flat on Wednesday early morning when he was sleeping. The resident, who gave only one name, Ismail, said it was in the morning when he got up and saw that his mobile phones were missing from his rented flat near Chand Masjid.
My trouser was thrown and my hard money of Rs 19,000 was missing, he said. The incident most probably took place around 4.25 am when the family was in deep slumber, he said, adding that the robber opened the gate using some technique and took away items.
After the incident, I rushed to a nearby house where a CCTV camera is installed and after watching the clip I was able to see two people moving around and most probably they could have entered my house as for four minutes they were seen again, he said.
Ismail is a water seller and his wife works as a help.
Residents have lamented that from time to time there have been cases of bike and cycle theft in the locality. A resident said it was a few days ago when his scooty parked outside his house was stolen from Shaheen Bagh.
