Sarwar vows to inject new life in dormant body at AMUOBA cabinet installation event
In the installation ceremony held at the India Islamic Cultural Center on Thursday, Aslam Khan, the outgoing general secretary of AMUOBA Delhi-NCR, handed over the charge of general secretary to Sarwar Iqbal Khan in front of the old and the new entire Cabinet, according to a release issued by the body.
“It is important to mention that apart from office assets, he handed over the chequebook of those days to me, apart from Rs 13 lakh deposited in State Bank of India in the form of FD and Rs 54 thousand 631 deposited in Jamia Co-operative Bank,” said Khan.
“I promise that in the new session, we will try our best to build office for Amuoba Delhi NCR, which has been going on for years. Apart from the Alig fraternity present in Delhi NCR, I will request Alig fraternity settled across the world to assist me in our dream of having a new office,” he said.
“I hope that with everyone’s cooperation and everyone’s advice, we will be able to complete a successful tenure on time,” said Khan, who was elected unopposed in an election held this year.
Khan said he has a vision to take AMOUBA to new height and his first target is to have a new office where meetings could be held. Also, he said he wants Aligarh fraternity to come forward and play some positive roles so that financially weak youths can be provided with scholarship.
