No rain in Okhla after three consecutive days of downpour
There was no rain in Delhi, including Okhla, on Sunday bringing relief from three consecutive days of downpour. Rain for days brought down the temperature with the minimum settling at 22.6 degrees Celsius in the national Capital, a notch below the season’s average, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The relative humidity recorded at 8:30 am is 93 per cent, they said.
Rain cleaned the air with air quality index (AQI) recorded in the good (49) category around 9 am, according to the Central Pollution Control Board data.
Residents said rain did bring the temperature down but most of the lanes of Okhla were in bad shape with waterlogging being the perennial issue. Residents braved puddles in the locality due to rain for the last three days.
