Poster culture continues to deface public places, even metro entrance not spared
Poster culture continues to deface public places in Jamia Nagar with even metro entrance of Shaheen Bagh not spared. As you walk through the locality form Batla House to Zakir Nagar to Johri Farm to Ghaffar Manzil to Abul Fazal Enclave to Shaheen Bagh you can easily spot posters all over walls and banners hanging from top in many places.
It is a common sight and nobody in the locality is bothered. It is not only politicians who lead from the front to plaster the locality with banners and posters, even coaching institutes and other business houses don’t think even twice before defacing the walls of the locality giving a very creepy look the area, said a resident on the condition of anonymity.
On daily basis passengers spit gutka on metro pillar at the entrance of Shaheen Bagh metro station entrance, said a person who was seen removing posters from the walls of the metro.
“We are tired of cleaning it regularly. Despite orders that posters should not be put at public places, you can see how posters are here, defacing the wall,” he said.
A resident said the condition is very bad and it is due to which the metro entrance from Shaheen Bagh is in bad shape as residents don’t take care and even bother to keep it clean.
The defacement of public places is illegal posters.
