Releasing a video message, former Congress Councillor Shoaib Danish said the long demand of a Pink toilet is going to be turned into a reality soon as the work is near completion. A few months ago, Batla House Market Association and other residents had demanded for a Pink toilet for shoppers, mostly women, who come in large number in the locality daily.

It is understood that the Pink toilet can be used by shoppers and visitors to the area, said a resident, close to Danish. The toilet has been built by the MCD. There are other areas also in the locality like Shaheen Bagh and Abul Fazal Enclave where a Pink and public toilet is most needed, said residents.

Congress leader Danish said for months he had been after the project. Though the date of when the toilet will be operational is yet not been announced, a resident aware of the development said it might take a few more weeks.
