Take precautions, says Parvez after testing Covid positive

With Covid-19 cases increasing in Delhi several cases have surfaced in Okhla too. And of them, Congress youth leader Parvez Alam is the latest sufferer. He has tested positive.

Some twenty minutes ago, Parvez informed his fans on the social media. “I have tested corona positive. …I am fine and in home isolation. Everyone I have met in the last few days is requested to take precautions and if there is any kind of symptoms, please get tested and pray for my recovery,” he wrote soliciting several comments with most of them praying for his quick recovery.

This is not the only case as a few days ago netizen Syed Ubaidur Rahman wrote this on his timeline: “5 members of my extended in-laws family suffering from #Covid19. Please pray for them. Second surge seems to be spreading like wildfire.”

With cases on the rise, the administration too has cracked the whip by fining people for not wearing mask at public place. Also, Delhi today is to impose a 10 pm to 5 am night curfew till April 30 to tackle a steep rise in Covid infections.

A day earlier, the country reported over 1 lakh cases in a single day.

As per the Delhi government health bulletin on Monday, a total of 3,548 fresh cases of Covid-19 infection and 15 deaths were reported within the last 24 hours.

“The intensity of the pandemic has increased and it is spreading faster than last time. In some states, it (the condition) is worse than others but the upswing (in cases) can be observed across the country,” said NITI Aayog Member (Health) Dr V K Paul at a press meet on Tuesday.

“People’s participation is vital to control the second wave. The next four weeks are going to very critical. The entire country has to come together and make efforts to fight the pandemic,” he said.
