Man stabbed in Jamia Nagar for resisting robbery, 1 arrested
It was a normal day for a Jamia Nagar resident until he was robbed at knife point on Thursday morning while returning home by two boys. The bad experience left deep scar on his psyche for days to come.

As he was walking towards his home, two boys accosted him and one of them put a knife on his neck and tried to rob his wallet. When he resisted, the alleged boys stabbed him and ran away with the belongings.
It was on January 13, when a call was received at PS Jamia Nagar regarding robbery after stabbing and the staff rushed to the spot and shifted the injured person to hospital for treatment, said police.

Quick to act on cracking the case, a team was formed and then CCTV footages installed in the exit and entry point of the place of incident were analysed.
Various raids were conducted on listed criminals of the area and on January 15 after getting a tip-off the team raided a place in Jamia Nagar and arrested the boy, said police, adding that a wallet containing Aadhar card was recovered from his possession and further efforts are being made to trace his co-accused.
After sustained interrogation, the arrested boy revealed that in order to earn quick money and to fulfill his desire of drugs, he along with his associates, started committing petty offences, said police.
