Okhla family appeals for help after cat goes missing

Children have appealed for help after their cat went missing during a family trip to a market area in Okhla on Thursday.

Asad Baig of Ajmal Bagh in Noor Nagar said they had visited a market area in the locality and when the family, including his children, returned home on Thursday afternoon they could not find their 8-month-old cat Yuki in the car.

He said the family is unable to figure out how the cat slipped from the car.

Since then his three children have been crying, said Baig, adding that he has been looking for his Tabby breed cat gifted to him months ago and till now has been unable to spot it.

With more and more residents taking cat as pet, cases of cat missing and theft have been reported from time to time. It is common to see posters in the locality with owner appealing for help. Many a time, owner even announces amount for information on missing cats, said residents. Following cat becoming a most-sought after pet in Jamia Nagar, several shops have opened for selling pets and cat food.
