MCD elections: Metro timings on day of polling here

With the election to the 250 wards of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi is scheduled to be held from 8 am to 5:30 pm on December 4, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced that on that day the train services on all Lines will start at 4 am from all terminal stations.
The counting will take place on December 7.

“On the day of Municipal Corporation of Delhi election on 4th December, 2022 (Sunday), the Delhi Metro train services on all Lines will start from 4:00 am from all terminal stations. The trains will run with a frequency of 30 minutes on all the Lines till 6:00 am. After 6:00 am, Metro trains will run as per the normal Sunday timetable throughout the day,” the DMRC said in a statement.

The campaign for MCD ended on Friday, with every political parties in Okhla’s five wards taking out rallies, save a few, to show their strength on the last day. For the last many days, parties hold roadshows and other events to win hearts and minds of residents.

The MCD has been ruled by the BJP for the last 15 years and this year the AAP is laying its claim to the civic agency. It has reached the voters urging them to vote it to power. On the other hand, the BJP too has sharpened its attack on the AAP.
