MANUU extends last date for distance mode exams

The Directorate of Distance Education (DDE), Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) has extended the date for submission of exam form for backlog papers of UG, PG, Diploma (Annual Mode) & Certificate courses from June 9 to June 12. University has already waived off the exam fee.

According to Prof. Mohd. Razaullah Khan, Director I/c, 2018 and 2019 annual batch (UG, PG, Diploma) & Certificate courses students are not required to fill the back log form for the current year as their data will be automatically updated in the portal. For 2017 and earlier batches the backlog exam form filling is manual as per the earlier existing practice.

For improvement exam, eligible students have to pay fee of Rs. 500 per paper for UG courses and Rs. 750/- per paper for PG courses.

For further details, students can contact concerned Regional Centres, Sub Regional Centres and Coordinators of Learner Support Centres of MANUU.

Meanwhile, Orientation Programme on 21st Century Skills for teachers held at MANUU

Teachers should be well aware and equipped of new teaching techniques and keep on introspecting themself. Their continuous professional development is the need of the hour. These views were expressed by Prof. S M Rahmatullah, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) in the valedictory session of the orientation program “21st Century Skills for Teachers” held at the University campus on June 8, 2022.

Centre for Professional Development of Urdu Medium Teachers (CPDUMT) of MANUU organized one day orientation program for Urdu Medium School Teachers. Prof. Rahmatullah also distributed the certificates to the participants.

Earlier, Dr. Syed Alim Ashraf Jaisi, Dean Students’ Welfare in his address in the inaugural session, said each era has its own requirements and by fulfilling them we can be successful. Only change is permanent. Teachers must accept the changes happening in their field.

Prof. Siddiqui Mohammad Mahmood, Dean, School of Education and Training, opined that the role of teachers is more important in contemporary times and teachers should be well versed with all the requirements of teaching.

Prof. Mohd Abdul Sami Siddiqui, Director, Centre, briefed about the aims & objectives of the program and welcomed the participants.

Prof. Siddiqui Mohammad Mahmood, Prof. Saneem Fatima, Dean, Academics and Ismat Fathima, Assistant Professor, Polytechnic Hyderabad delivered talks in the technical sessions.

Misbah Ansar and Dr. Mohd. Akbar, Assistant Professors of the centre compered the programme and proposed vote of thanks.
