In a latest development, the university notice mentioned: “Consequent upon the above, Jamia has appointed Professor Waseem Ahmad Khan department of Teacher Training and non-formal education, as director games and sports.”
It is expected that Khan, who has been handling university affairs for years will add some new dimension to games and sports at Jamia after becoming its director. University sources said after being appointed Chief Proctor in July, 2019, he has led from the front by defusing volatile situation at times.
According to reliable university source, he handled the situation arising from two groups of students on Monday on the campus well with security being beefed up.
Besides, Khan has been working as Advisor Security Jamia since September 2021.
Besides administrative job, Khan’s areas of interest are research social sciences education, guidance & counseling, environmental education and others.
He has thirty four (34) years teaching experience at school/SCERT/DIET & university level with reesearch experience of 20 years.
He is Member Editorial Board, Indra Prastha Journal of Education, IIEM, Hapur (Gaziabad) Volume -1, Number -1, January-2011. Also, he is Member of advisory board of Jamia Journal of Education (JJE) , Advisory Committee of “National Seminar On Sri Arivindo’s Vision for Education” Feb 2011-12.
