Watch: 2 hurt in Abul Fazal Enclave road accident, rushed to hospital

Two people, including a school-going boy, were injured in a road accident on Abul Fazal Enclave road number 4 on Monday, according to residents. They were rushed to a local hospital and their condition is still not known. A resident said it was at 8 am when he reached the spot and saw a lot of people standing near the mangled bike left there which was hit by a speeding car from behind talking about the accident.

Based on their conversation, the resident said the accident took place at 7.30 am and most probably the man was taking the boy to drop him to school, other residents told him. He said based on their conversation it was known that the biker was standing behind a stationary bus and from behind a speeding car hit the bike from behind and the vehicle got mangled.

He said residents told him that both were injured and the man got fracture in his knees and taken to hospital. Their current condition is not known. He said he saw a shoe of the boy on the spot and one helmet also. The vehicle was later on removed.

After hitting the bike, the driver fled from the spot taking wrong side. However, it is known that the car was left behind at thokar number 3 based on information shared by a resident at road number 4, a claim that the OT was unable to verify.

Residents were left shocked with the development and said rash driving has taken several lives and it is sad to know that the boy and the man most probably father and son met with this accident. They pointed out that it was only a few days ago when a youth died after meeting with a road accident at Jamia Millia road with one youth sustaining life-threatening injury and is recovering in a Delhi hospital.
