Tech giant Google will reveal more information on October 1 about its new system for smart products used in homes. Known as Gemini for Home, it is a digital assistant that will make household tools and appliances smart. It will replace Google Assistant, and it will understand and talk to you in a more natural way than Google Assistant.
For example, if you have some ingredients in your fridge and ask Gemini for Home what to make, it will suggest a dish you can prepare. Gemini for Home will also explain the recipe. If you are looking to buy a new car, then Gemini for Home will help you as well. If there is any technical glitch in home appliances like a fridge or washing machine, then it will help you to fix the issue.
Google is not only bringing software but is introducing hardware as well. A new Nest Camera has been shown in a teaser video. It looks like the old camera but it has a new and better sensor. The new system also includes a new Nest Doorbell which will have 2K resolution, providing very clear video visibility. It will also enable video preview for a longer period. There will also be a circular Nest Speaker which will look like a mixture of the Nest Mini and the Apple HomePod Mini.
Let’s talk about the price. Google will provide both a free and a paid version. The free version will have basic features, but if more features are required then you have to subscribe to the paid plan. It was reported earlier that people who pay $10 per month for Nest Aware service would get this system soon, but the company is yet to confirm it. Chief Product Officer of Google’s Home and Nest division, Anish Kattukaran said that his company is addressing various suggestions and complaints regarding smart home products.

Therefore, October 1 will be a new turning point for Google’s smart home products. With Gemini replacing Google Assistant, it will be easier to run your house and control household tools and appliances. With the new camera, doorbell and speaker, the home will be more secure, smarter and joyful.
In August, Google had said that Google Assistant would be replaced by Gemini for Home in smart home devices. Users will find the new system better in terms of their daily interactions and the various assistance it provides. Now all eyes are on October 1 for people who are using Google Assistant.
