Gmail down for users?
Gmail is not working for several users in India and world around, according to reports. Both app and desktop version of the email service seems to be hit.
Downdetector, the website that tracks online status of apps and websites, has been showing disruption in Gmail’s service since 7 pm.
The downdetector website has also tweeted about the outage. “User reports indicate Gmail is having problems since 9:12 AM EST.http://downdetector.com/status/gmail/ RT if you’re also having problems#Gmaildown,” tweeted the website.
Many netizens have posted on Twitter that Gmail is down for them.
Around 9.45 PM IST, Google gave an update that mitigation is currently underway and email delivery is no longer failing. “However, the Google Engineering team is now working through the backlog of undelivered messages and expect all messages to be delivered in the next few hours. We will provide more information by Saturday, 2022-12-10 10:00 PT,” the dashboard said.
