JMI pays tribute to CDS General Bipin Rawat
The employees of Jamia Millia Islamia today observed a two-minute silence to condole the tragic death of CDS General Bipin Rawat, his wife and other decorated defence officials in the helicopter crash at Coonoor yesterday.

The condolence meeting was attended by JMI Vice Chancellor Prof. Najma Akhtar, Registrar Dr Nazim Husain Al Jafri, Deans, HoDs, Officers, teaching and non teaching staff of the university.
On this occasion Prof Akhtar said: “I am saddened by the tragic demise of Gen Bipin Rawat, his wife, and other defense officials in the crash. I express my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and their friends. It’s a great loss to the nation.”
