Video: Meet Ghaffar Manzil-based entrepreneur Fauzia
Fauzia Iftikhar is a graphic designer by profession but now she has taken a plunge in food industry by starting her new eatery at Okhla Head with backing from her husband. After doing her MA in Fine Arts from Jamia Millia Islamia, Ghaffar Manzil born and brought up in Okhla, Fauzia said she always loved cooking wanted to try something new.
However, before her marriage she never cooked, she said, adding that it was only after her marriage that she started trying new delicacies which were appreciated by her in-laws. And it was during one such meet her husband encouraged her to take plunge into food business, she said.
The eatery named Ila Ruh at Okhla Head just opposite Union Bank was opened in March but due to Covid second wave it had to be closed to be opened again a few days ago following Covid protocol.
“We provide quality food and make sure that branded things are used. I don’t have any chef as I prepare things myself, instructing two youths,” said Fauzia, who spends eight hours daily at her eatery from 3 pm to 10:30 pm.
The response has been overwhelming with youths stepping in the eatery to order special chicken munchi, chicken sandwich and other items, she said.
