    IISJ extends warm welcome to Consul General, Vice Patron

    IISJ extends warm welcome to Consul General, Vice Patron

    The School’s Managing Committee, Principal & the officials of the IISJ school extended a warm welcome to the new envoy who took charge as the Consul General of India and the additional charge as Vice Patron of Schools on April 8, 2021 in the school’s auditorium following all the Covid protocols.

    Ever since the onset of the pandemic this was the first mega event  organised by the school with only 20 members  yet grand and record setting.

    A “go green” welcome was given to HE Consul General of India Shahid Alam by presenting a sapling. Shakeela Shahid Alam, Hamna Mariyam and Danish Abdul Gafoor were given a floral welcome for the auspicious programme. A memento was presented by the School Principal to the Consul General & Vice Patron.

    The recitation of Quran and a welcome song, all performed by the students of the school virtually enabled the students and teachers involved become part of this event virtually.

    The Principal of the school Dr Muzaffar Hassan welcomed HE Consul General of India and Vice Patron Shahid Alam, Dr Shakeela Shahid Alam, Consul and School Observer Hamna Mariyam, Member Higher Board Danish Abdul Gafoor, SMC of the school and the school officials who were present in this very auspicious programme. Dr Hassan while welcoming the Vice Patron, expressed his joy in welcoming the Vice Patron and called it a home coming.

    He   highlighted the milestones set by IISJ despite the challenges posed by the pandemic.

    Hamna Mariyam, a dynamic leader, joined the school officials in welcoming the Vice Patron and lauded the teaching faculty for rising up to the occasion and emphasized the fact that the creativity of the teachers is unmatched.

    She assured that the administration and financial areas will also be made well rounded and efficient with the team of governing body of the school.

    Danish Abdul Gafoor, Member Higher Board, recalled the lives that IISJ lost due to Covid-19 and called for safety of all the staff of the school. He further lauded the efforts of the Managing Committee in handling the challenges and making the school go digital.

    The Chief Guest of the evening HE Consul General of India and Vice Patron of the School Shahid Alam accepted the warm welcome recalling the mega events with the auditorium filled with the staff and students. He was elated to meet the new and young team of managing committee members.

    He further appreciated the team of officials of the school for their efforts and assured his contribution along with the efficient school observer for the welfare of the school.

    The programme drew to a close with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Farahdunnisa the Vice Principal of the Girls Section.

    The event was hosted by Naheed Fathima, the Headmistress of the VI-VIII BS.
