Dead body found from Batla House, probe on: Councillor Danish

A body of 22-year-old Mubarak was found from Batla House Extension on Friday at 7 am, claimed Zakir Nagar Councillor Shoaib Danish, who visited the family members.

However, the reason behind the death is not known as only postmortem report can throw light whether there was any foul play involved or it was a natural death. The report is awaited.

“After I got information I reached the family members and I was told that the body was taken for post mortem. The name of the boy was Mubarak. The body was found in Batla House extension in the morning. It was taken for post mortem. What happened to the boy is still a mystery,” said the Congress Councillor.

The body was handed over to the family after post mortem and he was laid to rest today, said Danish.
We are waiting for the postmortem report, he said, adding it is only after the report the actual cause of the death of the boy will be known.

Also, Danish uploaded a video while interacting with the family members of the deceased on his timeline.

“अल्लाह रहम करे हमारे इलाक़े के हालात बद से बत्तर होते जा रहे हैं अभी कुछ देर पहले P ब्लॉक गली न 2 के लास्ट में एक लड़का रात को अपने घर से कुछ दूरी पर उसकी डेथ बॉडी मिलती है उसकी उम्र लगभग 20 से 25 वर्ष बताई जा रही है मौक़े पर पहुँचकर पुलिस के साथ तहक़ीक़ात की जा रही है…,” he wrote in Hindi.

Danish said the incident has left residents shattered. It has come days after Talib incident who was lynched in Batla House during a fight over gulli danda. The incident had sparked a political slugfest in the locality.
