Dr Khursheed wins battle against Covid-19, shares experience

Of them Dr Khursheed Anwer is one such person who after testing Covid positive now has recovered from the infection despite. Some of his family members are still fighting it, he said.

Well-known orthopedic surgeon Dr Khursheed Anwer, 63, who years ago was associated with Al Shifa hospital in Abul Fazal Enclave, told the OT over phone from his house that how he recovered from the infection days ago.
It was on April 9 that I got my Covid positive test before going to the Middle East for my job. “The result came positive though I had no symptoms. Some family members had tested Covid positive. I consulted a doctor and started taking medicine, Kadha, monitoring my fever. After four days my situation improved. I got CT chest for precaution to find lung involvement which creates troubles. Everything was fine. After four days of symptoms one should go for CT chest. Now I am negative,” he said.
Dr Khursheed was expected to fly out of India on April 11 but his journey was cancelled due to Covid positive result.
He said the biggest thing is that people get isolated when they get the infection as it is a contagious disease. However one needs to find out ways to take care of patients as loneliness is the biggest worry, he said, adding that gradually everybody in my family and extended families with 16 members is recovering from the disease.
