Okhlaiites feel the chill as temperature in Delhi dips to lowest this season, no respite on Sunday

Okhla residents woke up to a cold day today as Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 6 degrees Celsius over the past 24 hours.

And if we go by India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast then there is no respite for Delhiites on Sunday. The IMD said the temperature is all set to dip further to around 5 degrees Celsius on Sunday.

The cold in Delhi-NCR region was attributed to strong northwesterly cold winds with a speed of around 10-20 kmph during the first half of the day.

Cold wave conditions are likely to persist over Punjab, Haryana and north Rajasthan over the next three days, the IMD forecast said. Its impact will be felt in Okhla also.
