Tablighi Jamaat’s well known face in India and champion of girls’ education, Maulana Md Illyas, passed away in Okhla a few minutes ago in Delhi on Tuesday, according to family sources. He was in-charge of madarsa in Nizamuddin Tablighi Markaz. He was 92 years old and was unwell for the last many days and hospitalised in Al-Shifa Hospital treatment.
