Ex-Okhla MLA Asif Md Khan hurt in road mishap
After the Congress announced list of MCD elections 2022 naming former Okhla MLA Asif Md Khan’s daughter Ariba Khan from Abul Fazal Enclave, supporters starting pouring in to congratulate him and it was then many saw the former MLA using a walking stick.

On being asked by one YouTuber during the media interaction at his Khalindi Kunj resident on Sunday night, Khan said a few days ago he sustained injury as one bicycle rider came in front of him and to save him his scooter fall on his leg on Jamia Nagar road days ago.
He said he sustained fracture and thus was using a walking stick. On ticket to his 28-year-old daughter, Khan said initially he was not in favour despite applying for it earlier. However, after more than 30 minutes meeting with his hardcore team of supporters it was decided that Ariba should fight the local poll.
Before the merger of three MCDs into one, Wajid Khan of AAP was the Councillor of Abul Fazal Enclave ward. It would be interesting to see how Asif helps her daughter to impress upon the voters as Wajid is up against anti-incumbency with majority of the residents deeply upset with garbage dump in Shaheen Bagh and Abul Fazal Enclave.
After the getting the ticket, in her first interaction with the media, Ariba vowed to end the garbage mess and keep the area clean.
