Ex-Okhla MLA Asif’s daughter should contest from Abul Fazal Enclave: Noor Nawaz Khan
Former-Congress Okhla MLA Asif Md Khan’s daughter should contest from ward 102S, wrote Noor Nawaz Khan a few minutes ago on the social media.
Commenting on a post of one Salman Malik, who appears to be very close to former MLA Khan, Noor Nawaz, who is also director of two coaching institutes based in Okhla and had unsuccessfully contested MCD elections years ago, batted for Khan’s daughter Areeba.
Malik shared photo of Khan, his daughter standing with him with a small caption. “Areeba is ex-student of Study Point. She should contest from ward number 102 S,” he wrote on the Facebook.
Since the ward number 102S has been reserved for women, the buzz in the locality has been: Will Khan launch his daughter in the upcoming MCD poll as Congress candidate from Abul Fazal Enclave ward?
Earlier, when the OT asked Khan about his daughter being a candidate in the MCD poll, he had said it is too early to jump to any conclusion. But its appear that some of his followers, including Noor Nawaz Khan, are in favour of his daughter contesting the elections, said one Okhla watcher.
Abdul Wajid Khan of AAP is the sitting Councillor from this ward. All parties, including BJP, the Congress and AAP are getting ready for the MCD poll which is a few months away as the date is yet to be announced.
