Fresh trouble for Okhla MLA Amanatullah

Okhla AAP MLA and Delhi Waqf Board chairman Amanatullah Khan has been asked to join investigation on Friday. According to the notice sent to the MLA by the Delhi Government’s Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Khan has been directed to join the probe on Friday at 12 pm.

Khan shared the notice on his social handle a few minutes ago. However, he has not mentioned in which case he is being probed for.

The ACB is probing alleged irregularities in recruitment in the Delhi Waqf board. According to media report, the ACB has called Khan for questioning him in connection with a two-year-old corruption case related to the Waqf board, officials said. A senior official said the Okhla MLA has been called for questioning over the Prevention of Corruption Act case registered in 2020.

In another development, action against him has been put on hold in Shaheen Bagh demolition case.
