Watch: Feisty Aarfa wipes tears of bereaved family who lost daughter, grandkid during delivery
When Advocate and Congress leader Aarfa Khanam got a call from a resident about the unfortunate incident unfolding at Shaheen Bagh hospital on Sunday night, she with her husband rushed to the spot to wipe tears of the bereaved family who “lost their daughter and newborn grandchild during delivery in a local hospital”.
Feisty Aarfa in her own style after consoling the family members did a FB live from the spot to inform residents about the incident. She said a woman and a newborn died during delivery due to negligence of Cribs hospital doctors, a claim that the OT was unable to authenticate independently.
However, the cause of deaths of two will only be known after the post-mortem reports, said sources. In the live video, family members of the deceased also narrated their ordeal.
Before filing the report, the OT made several calls but the management declined to comment on the issue. Once we get their version it will be added to the copy here.
Advocate Muzakir told the OT that the deceased family was from Jalebi Chowk in Madanpur. Aarfa is highly active and is always ready to help the needy at the time of crisis, said Okhla watchers, adding that she is a courageous and highly-educated leader.
