SDMC administered more than 20 lakh vaccine doses: Mayor Suryan

He said the civic agency, while intensifying the ongoing vaccination drive, has been administered vaccines at 125 Covid Vaccination Centres (CVCs).
The Mayor said the SDMC is making its contribution in the world’s largest vaccination drive, which is being carried out under leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, by making adequate arrangements at CVCs in all four zones.
He said the ongoing vaccination drive in India has created a world record as more than 162 crores of vaccine doses have been administered across the country.
He said the SDMC has been running 125 CVCs in its area where people are approaching in large numbers for Covid vaccination. To facilitate people, all necessary arrangements have been made at CVCs and the process of vaccination is being successfully executed under observation of senior doctors and health care workers (HCWs), he said.
CVCs have been set at hospitals, dispensaries and schools and the Civic Agency has been improving its health infrastructure to contain the spread of Covid-19, he said.
The Mayor urged people to take both doses of vaccine to safeguard from Covid-19. He also requested to follow Covid guidelines as it is necessary in the fight against the virus.
