    3-day Jashn-e-Azadi 2021 festival held

Asian Literary Society organised three-day Jashn-e-Azadi festival to celebrate Indian Independence Day 2021.

To get our new generation acquainted with the true value of freedom and spread the message of unity, harmony, and tolerance across the country, the Asian Literary Society organized JASHN-E-AZADI- a three days festival from 13th August 2021 to 15th August 2021 in New Delhi.

In this festival eminent literary luminaries and artists from all over the country enthusiastically participated to celebrate Indian Independence Day and paid homage to all those martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our better tomorrow. In light of the present Covid-19 scenario, this event was conducted online.

Manoj Krishnan (founder, Asian Literary Society, and author) welcomed all the eminent guests and artists at the Jashn-e-Azadi 2021 festival. He talked about the sacrifices done by our great heroes who did not flinch from their mission to liberate the motherland despite facing insurmountable pressure.

The festival encompassed live conversations with Dr. Amarendra Khatua (Former Secretary, MEA), Sudarshan Kcherry (CEO, Authorspress).

On this occasion, Sohini Roychowdhury (famous dancer and choreographer) and Dr. Ampat Koshy (Eminent Author) participated in the panel discussion on the topic of “Celebrating India through art and Literature.”

Anita Chand, Nisha Tandon, Dr. Bishakha Sarma, and Upasana Rathaur moderated various live sessions in the three-day Jashn-e-Azadi festival.

Anju Shahani (laughter Yoga expert, Dubai) talked about relishing freedom in laughter while Shraddha Soparkar (founder, Madhuram Charitable Trust), Dr. Mona Patel (Paediatric Physiotherapist), and Zeba Tabassum joined the discussion on Freedom from Disability- a session organised by Asian Literary Society to discuss the challenges faced by special needs community.

Eminent poets Dr. Laxmi Shankar Bajpai and Mamta Kiran also graced the Jashn-e-Azadi event and enthralled the audience through their patriotic verses.

In this three-day festival, the Asian literary Society organised performing arts and painting challenges on the theme- India in which artists from India and abroad enthusiastically participated.

At the end of the festival, Manoj Krishnan expressed profound gratitude to all participants and eminent dignitaries who graced the occasion with their august presence.

The Asian Literary Society’s Jashn-e-Azadi was highly appreciated by the viewers from all over the country who applauded ALS and this initiative at the time of the coronavirus pandemic, said Shivpriya, administrator, ALS.
