Okhla women achievers honoured at AFE event
Several women who contributed to society were honoured at an event held in Abul Fazal Enclave on March 5, according to event organiser.
The event was part of the March 8 International Women’s Day, said Chirag Foundation chairman Sakeena Parveen, adding that the foundation’s first anniversary was also celebrated. The event was organised by Chirag Foundation.
She told the OT that doctors and nurses, particularly women, who served during corona lockdown, were honoured at the event as we gave them corona warrior certificates.
She said Delhi Minorities Commission chairman Zakir Khan was Chief Guest with AFE ward 102S councillor Wajid Khan.
Social activists of Okhla were also felicitated in the event, she said.
