    What makes ₹2 lakh iPhone 17 so special? Apple boldest upgrade yet

    Apple has launched the iPhone 17 series. This model in India costs more than Rs 2 lakh and is first in its series to do so. iPhone 17 Pro Max 2TB is priced at Rs 2 lakh 29,900. Last year, the 1TB variant of the iPhone 16 Pro Max came for Rs 1 lakh 84,900. The 1TB model of the iPhone 15 Pro Max was Rs 1 lakh 99,900.

    The starting price of the iPhone 17 Pro is Rs 1lakh 34,900. It has 256GB, 512GB and 1TB of storage. The iPhone 17 Pro Max starts at Rs 1lakh 49,900 and has options ranging from 256GB to 2TB. The starting price of the iPhone 17 is Rs 82,900. At the same time, the new iPhone Air will be available for Rs 1 lakh 19,900.

    Apple has introduced new colours this time. It is available in deep blue, comic orange and silver. The Pro model has a browned aluminium unibody design and a new vapor chamber cooling system. Apple claims that this will make the battery last longer and the phone less hot.

    The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max have Super Retina XDR display. The size is 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches. The screen has a revolution of Ceramic Shield 2, which has already been revealed with three GPU spectrum. It has a promotion of 120Hz and a brightness of 3000 nits. Both phones are available on the A19 Pro chip. Apple claims that it is the fastest and power-efficient chip ever.

    The Pro model has three 48MP fusion cameras; main, ultra video and telephoto. The new telephoto camera comes with a 56 per cent larger sensor and gives 8x optical lens. This is the most expensive version of the iPhone so far. The front camera is 18MP, which gives video viewing and better performance. A special feature in this is that recording can be done simultaneously from both the front and back sides.

    Apple also showed the iPhone Air this time. It is just 5.6 mm thin. It does not have a Filmy SIM zip, but the battery is better. It also has the A19 Pro chip.

    The Apple Watch Series 11 now comes with a 5G modem and a Bluetooth monitor. The Ultra 3 model has 42 hours of battery. Live translation and heart rate sensors have been added to the new AirPods Pro 3. Battery and noise cancellation are also better.

    Prebooking for the 17 series will start from Friday. Sales will start from September 19. Apple CEO Tim Cook said the new series are once again standard height and have the most different line up ever.

    Pre-order and Pricing: Pre-orders start at 5:30 pm IST on September 12. Available from September 19. Starts at ₹21,650/month with instant cashback and no-cost EMI, or ₹1,34,900 outright.

    To help achieve carbon neutrality by 2030, the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max don’t come with a power adapter or EarPods. The box includes a USB-C charging cable for fast charging, which works with USB-C power adapters and computer ports. You can use any compatible USB-C power adapter you already have, or buy a new Apple power adapter or headphones if needed.

    As part of efforts to reach carbon neutrality by 2030 (opens in new window), iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max do not include a power adapter or EarPods. Included in the box is a USB‑C Charge Cable that supports fast charging and is compatible with USB‑C power adapters and computer ports.
