


Jamia student Adnan makes university proud
Syed Adnan Mian, a third-year undergraduate student in the Department of Biotechnology, has brought laurels to Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) by being selected for the prestigious Khorana Program for Scholars 2025. This highly competitive scholarship, jointly supported by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) – Government of India, the Indo-U.S. Science & Technology Forum (IUSSTF), and WINStep Forward, provides outstanding Indian students with the opportunity to undertake cutting-edge research at top U.S. institutions.
The Khorana scholarship offers selected scholars a round-trip airfare, a stipend, and health insurance. As part of this program, he has been placed at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, affiliated with Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts, where Adnan will contribute to cutting-edge biomedical research.
